A 28-year-old, new-to-Dad-blogging (but not new to blogging) bloke. I'm a full-time marketer by day and Chief Bottle Maker/Dish-Washing Extraordinaire by night. I eat too much cheese, drink too much coffee, and enjoy the odd glass of Shiraz at the weekend (or most evenings). I'm a bit of a male stereotype: I bloody love footie and am partial to the occaional Liam Neeson film.
I'M A DAD.
Two years ago, I became a Dad for the first time (thus far). I'll never forget the moment Lauren - my long-suffering, very patient Wife - walked back into the lounge after doing a pregnancy test: sheer panic and several WTFs, followed by complete adulation. Little Joshua was born on 24th May 2016 and has been keeping Lauren and I on our toes (and awake at night) ever since.
AND A HUSBAND.
I met my beautiful wife, Lauren, at University in Leeds in 2008. The rest, as they say, is history. We found ourselves living in Australia for a year-or-so after finishing our studies, and got engaged in Melbourne on Christmas Eve 2013. We finally got hitched in July 2015, and she's no doubt been regretting it ever since. We live in the lovely county of Devon in the South West.
AND I LOVE IT.
I never thought too much about having kids and being a Dad when I was a 'lad'. I knew I wanted kids, but didn't give it anymore thought than that. But here I am, a Dad and Husband. And I think I'm actually alright at it. Better still, I love it.
